Give the Gift of Warmth!
St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky collects winter coats and accessories to distribute to neighbors in need during our annual Winter Coat Drive, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati. Thanks to the many generous donations from our community, we are able to provide hundreds of coats each year to infants, children, and adults across Northern Kentucky!
How can you help?
- Host a Drive: We place collection bins at partner businesses and community organizations across Northern Kentucky from October to mid-January. We accept new and gently used winter coats, gloves, hats, and scarves. Click here to host a coat drive collection bin.
- Donate Coats: Drop off items at SVdP NKY Thrift Store locations in Cold Spring, Erlanger, Falmouth, and Florence. Please let donation attendants know it is for the coat drive.
- Knitted Items: We happily accept donations of knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, or gloves to be provided to neighbors in need at coat drive distribution events! For more information, contact Chasity Sidle at chasity.sidle@svdpnky.org. Knitted items can be donated at all SVdP NKY Thrift Stores or at collection bins across Northern Kentucky.
- Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to sort donated coats. We also welcome volunteers to assist with set-up and staffing at coat drive distributions. For more information, email volunteer@svdpnky.org.

Does St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky provide any materials for groups looking to host a drive?
Yes! SVdP NKY provides the following support materials if you wish to host a coat drive:
- Collections bins are available upon request.
- Promotional flyers can be downloaded, printed, and shared at your church, school, or workplace. We provide flyers in English and Spanish.
The following items are needed:
- New and gently used winter coats for infants, children, and adults in all sizes
- Hats, gloves, scarves, and thick winter socks
- Snow suits
- Car seat blankets
If you live in Cincinnati or Ohio, coats may be dropped off at any St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati Thrift Store locations.
