Donate Time

Volunteers are the life force behind the operations of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. We must continually recruit volunteers to fulfill our mission of helping our neighbors in need. We welcome adults as well as teens. It’s a great way for students to fulfill service hour requirements. Everyone has something to offer and you are invited to join us with whatever time and God-given talents you wish to donate. We ask only that you embrace and adhere to the mission of the Society. We know that you will find it to be one of the most rewarding things you can do. (A guardian must accompany any volunteer under the age of 18.)

Thrift Store Volunteers

There are many ways to serve as a volunteer in our stores. Sorting items or putting inventory onto the sales floor, there is something for everyone to do!

Food Pantry Volunteers

Our Erlanger and Cold Spring Food Pantries serves our NKY residents in need. Responding to God’s call to “Feed the Hungry,” we strive to manifest God’s love by providing a selection of food, personal items and paper/cleaning products to those in need in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for clients and volunteers. Some of the ways you might help are:

• Sorting Fresh Produce
• Organizing Pantry Shelves
• Dating Food
• Assisting Neighbors While They “Shop”
• Food Donation Pickups

Call Center Volunteers

The Call Center is the connection those in need have with the Vincentians in our 28 parish conferences. Volunteers in our call center are the first voice that directs neighbors in need to help in their area. It’s a relaxed atmosphere of care and blessings.

• Take calls from those in need.
• Input neighbor’s data (name, address, phone, what they need, etc.) using Salesforce on computer.
• Help with Seasonal calls (Summer Breeze, Christmas, etc.)

Seasonal Help

During the year we have different events where volunteers are able to enjoy a variety of ways to help us help others.

• Turkeyfoot Trot 5K (November)
• Thanksgiving Meal Baskets (November)
• Coat Drive (October-November)
• Christmas Donations/Distributions (November-December)
• Adopt a Family (November-December)
